To apply for a vacancy or continue an application form


The application form pages allow you to enter all of the relevant details needed to apply for the vacancy available. The pages include Personal details, Employment, Education, Courses, Driving details, References and Other information.

If continuing an application please note that your previous information will be displayed but you will need to move through each page to find where you left off. A previous application can be retrieved by entering your Unique Reference No. as well as your First Name and Last Name.

To apply for a post:


Your Details

In the first area you will need to add all of your personal details into the relevant boxes. Required fields will be denoted with an asterisk if they are not completed before trying to continue.

Address: All of your address details need to be added in the next area.

Eligibility: A radio button displays your options with a text box available for adding additional details if you have a work permit. Click Continue to move to the next step.


Employment Details

To add employers to your application fill in your employment details. Dates will show a calendar once the text box is selected. You can a dd an employer history by clicking the Add Employer link. These details will then be displayed at the bottom of the page where you can Remove them by clicking the link. For each history add the necessary dates, employer details, job role information, reason for leaving, salary and also your notice period. To add another employer fill in the details again and click the Add Employer link. Click Continue to move to the next step.


General Education & Further/Higher Education

These details can be added to the large text box that is displayed. The editing toolbar may be used to aid pasting information which you have copied to your clipboard. Click Continue to move to the next step.


Training Course details

These can be added by entering your details and clicking the Add Course link. For each course attained add the necessary training details, year attained, duration and result. These will be displayed below the area when you can Remove them by clicking the link.


Membership

These can also be added and removed in the same way. For each course attained add the necessary professional body, year and level. Click Continue to move to the next step.


Additional Information

These can be added to the large text box that is displayed. The editing toolbar may be used to aid pasting information which you have copied to your clipboard. Click Continue to move to the next step.


Driving Information

These are a series of questions which need to be answered by selecting the yes or no radio button. A class type must be selected from the drop down list provided. If yes to any of the radio buttons, further details will need to be provided in the text box which appears.


Convictions or Disqualifications

This must be answered by selecting the yes or no radio button. If yes, further details will need to be provided in the text box which appears. Click Continue to move to the next step.


References

Two referees are needed for the application form. Details that need to be added include their name and title, address details, relationship and a way of contacting them. Click Continue to move to the next step.


Gender

A selection of radio buttons are shown where one can be clicked with Prefer not to answer set as default.


Age Range

Choose an age range from the drop down list. Prefer not to answer set as default.


Ethnic Group

Choose an ethnic group from the drop down list. Prefer not to answer is set as default.


Religion or Belief

Choose your religion or belief from the drop down list. Prefer not to answer is set as default.


Disability

You do not have to give details if you have a disability but there is the option with a text box to provide details.


Awareness

The vacancy gives details of where you came across this job role. Choose from the selection of radio buttons available.


Declaration

A declaration with 3 tick boxes which must be ticked at the bottom to state that you understand the terms and conditions. The application form is now complete but can be reviewed by clicking the Previous link to go back through the pages. Otherwise, finalise all your details by clicking the Submit Application link. A pop up dialog box will appear asking to OK your application.


Further Guidance & Support

Withdrawing a Submitted Application

If you wish to withdraw an application that you have already submitted, please send an e-mail to vacancies@south-staffs-water.co.uk confirming your wish to withdraw. Please include in the e-mail your name, the vacancy you applied for and your Application Reference Number.
